• How to add a custom command to a menu: You can add custom items to any menu or toolbar in ACT!. For example, you can add documents, spreadsheets, even the calculator to a toolbar or menu so that you can access it with just one click. This document shows you how to create a custom command and add it to a menu in ACT!. Once you know these few simple steps, you can customise ACT! so that all the things you need are close at hand!
• Mail merge to a contact in 2 seconds! Creating templates to use with ACT! is a great way to increase productivity in the office. You can create templates for labels, letters, order forms, certificates, faxes even emails. Using a predefined template, you can generate a letter for just one person, or a whole group (using the mail merge wizard). By adding ACT! templates to your menus, you can quickly and easily generate a document to just one person. Using the steps from How to add a custom command, add one of your templates to your menu. To perform a merge to just one person using this template, simply lookup the contact and select the template from the menu!
  At Act Today, we place all our common templates in the menus. This makes it so fast and easy to produce the documents as we don't have to go searching for the correct template each time we need to do a merge!
