Burkard initially worked as a Siemens database developer for 5 years before branching out on his own to start up his own business programming custom software solutions. After 4 successful years, Burkard had grown the business to 12 employees.
In 1993, Burkard moved to Germany where he worked as an IT freelancer developing and programming custom software solutions and database design.
In 1999, Burkard seized the opportunity to move into a Business Analyst role with SAP. In this role, Burkard defined the requirements for the customisation and data transfer for new SAP clients in numerous industries.
After a decade in Germany, Burkard moved back to Australia where he continued to freelance in IT roles. It was during this time that Burkard discovered ACT! and the power that it could bring to business.
As the head consultant of the Newcastle/Central Coast Act Today office, Burkard remains heavily involved in all facets of his client’s ACT! implementations as well as manages his own team of support staff.
Burkard enjoys traveling and is fluent in 4 languages.
