Terms & Conditions


When purchasing software from Act Today, the following terms and conditions apply. Please read carefully to ensure that you understand and agree with the terms.
  1. Payment must be received prior to shipping of product or supply of licences. Direct deposits normally take 24 hours to process into our account.
  2. We suggest that you read the System Requirements for the Version of ACT! you are purchasing as there is only a 30 day refund policy available on boxed software purchases. We also suggest that you utilise the 30 day trial period on ACT! Software prior to purchasing to avoid incurring the restocking fee if you decide to return the product.
  3. There are no refunds for ACT! Addons or versions of ACT! other than the current version.
  4. All software purchases are download only unless otherwise requested at time of order (only applicable for ACT! software). Additional charges apply. Any software is sent to the address given on the order form unless informed otherwise. Additional expenses incurred as a result of redirection of the software is at the expense of the purchaser.
  5. Returns for ACT! license/s that have been supplied require a Returns Form to be submitted to Sage Business Solutions for approval. Once the application has been approved, Act Today will then refund the purchase. This process may take up to two (2) weeks.
  6. The Postage and Handling fee covers insurance of the software therefore if lost in transit, Act Today will take responsibility for the recovery of the product and re-send as soon as possible.
  7. Purchase of software only does not include free technical support. Act Today provide consulting and technical services at an hourly rate as required.
  8. Purchasers of software who wish to install and setup their software do so at their own risk.  Act Today accepts no responsibility for any issues with installation or setup performed by the purchaser.
  9. Completion of any software purchase from our E-store automatically subscribes you to our email list where we will send periodic emails informing you of the latest ACT! news and ACT! events in your area. You are able to easily Unsubscribe by selecting the "Leave This List" link at the bottom of any Swiftpage Email.
Important: Please read prior to purchasing software upgrades
  • Upgrading from ACT! Version 5 or 6 requires cleaning the existing database, manipulating data into correct fields and a general health check prior to conversion. The extent of work will depend on how much customisation, the type of customisations, number of records, users etc.
  • To get the best conversion results, it would be prudent to have your existing database checked and cleaned prior to conversion and we strongly suggest you organise your Act Today consultant to assist in this process.
  • Bear in mind you cannot convert backwards, so if you have issues with data not converting as expected, it is a difficult and time intensive process to redo the conversion and consolidate the data.
  • Any custom programming created for your current version or add-on software may require upgrading which will incur additional charges.
