Track Your Results


Measuring the response is critical to the long-term success of e-mail campaigns. Make sure that the following measurements are available to you:

  • Bounce Backs and Unsubscribes - Make sure you have a way to accurately track this information and change your database so as not to resend to those addresses. See the Tools section in Email Marketing - Getting Started.
  • Openings - How many people actually opened your e-mail?
  • Click Thru Rate - This value provides a more accurate figure of people who actually read your email than the open rate. It is important to remember that in order to get click thru results, you will need links within your email.
