Act! Cloud Feature Limitations

When accessing Act! Premium via Cloud there are some feature limitations due to the nature of the environment. Please see the list below for Act! features not available in Act! Premium via Cloud.

  • Add additional user licenses to the database
  • Edit Contact Access (Make Public, Make Private, Create Access List, Add or Remove Users/Teams) for multiple contacts
  • Create or manage drop-down lists
  • Database maintenance (check, repair, reindex, delete)
  • Use of Act! Diagnostics utility
  • Remote database synchronisation panel (edit, delete remote databases, and sync sets)
  • Backup and restore databases
  • Right click functionality (presents browser options)
  • No option to “Open each view in its own window” in Preferences
  • History recorded when printing a document (Mail merge directly to printer does create history)
  • Add document attachments as shortcuts
  • Show Look For option
  • Edit Smart Tasks
  • Create Activity Series
  • Setup and use field triggers
  • Create new or edit existing report templates
  • Social Updates
  • Quick Print
  • E-Mail Document option on Document tab
  • No Act! Email client installed locally for viewing or managing email (Can be configured to send email through an Internet mail account, or Windows users can integrate with locally installed Microsoft® Outlook®)
  • Email Message (from template)
Data Management
  • Copy or move contact data (merge)
  • Replace, copy, or swap field data for multiple contacts
  • Duplicate Checking settings, scan for duplicate records
  • Export data (you can use the Export to Excel function from the list view)
  • Manage Opportunity Product and Process Lists
  • Act! Dialer
  • Fax integration
  • Timer
  • Act! Scheduler
  • Integrate Act! with a supported accounting program
Browser Limitations
  • Firefox, Chrome, & Internet Explorer for Mac
  • Act! Word Processor is not available
  • Mail Merge is not available
  • Right-Click shortcut menu not available
  • Mobile device browser versions are not supported
