End of Line for Microsoft SQL Server 2005

End of Life Microsoft SQL 2005

Microsoft will be ceasing support for SQL Server 2005 after April 12, 2016.  With end of support, security updates and hotfixes will no longer be available from Microsoft.

What does this mean for Act! users?

If you are running Act! 2005 (v7) – Act! 2010 (v12), you will be using SQL Server 2005. Act! will still continue to function in the short term but as Microsoft release new updates to Microsoft SQL and Windows, we would expect at some time in the future that Act! will stop working. So now is the perfect time to upgrade to the latest version of Act!. Act! v18 uses Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Express which is supported by Microsoft. Note: You are not required to buy the upgrade for Microsoft SQL as this is included with Act! v18.

Act! v18 will deliver you a host of compatibility and productivity enhancements, new Act! emarketing administrative features and a fresh, modern look for Act! Premium for Web.

Additionally, with new subscription pricing coming soon, you will be able to lock in a heavily discounted loyalty pricing for Act!. Call us on 1300 362 046 for details.
